Sizzling beef pepper rice hit the spot! I tried the classic beef pepper rice — piping hot sliced beef over a bed of rice, served on a sizzling plate with a scoop of butter melting on top. I initially thought everything was self-serve since ordering was done at a kiosk. Like most places post-COVID, the kiosk asked for a tip, and I declined, assuming I'd be grabbing the food myself. To my surprise, the staff brought out the hot, heavy plate straight to my table. I felt bad for not tipping, especially after seeing the effort involved. I’ll definitely make it right on my next visit — this is something I think a lot of people might overlook due to the fast-casual feel of the place. Portions are generous for the price, and the flavor was solid. I’m looking forward to coming back and trying something new. Good spot overall — I’d recommend giving it a try!

Quick, Tasty, and Consistently Good! Pepper Lunch has become our go-to spot for a quick and satisfying meal. The restaurant is always clean and well-maintained, which makes every visit pleasant. Their sizzling rice plates are the real star — watching and hearing them arrive at the table never gets old! We especially love the Sizzling Kimchi Beef Pepper Rice — flavorful and hits the spot every time. Service is quick, food is hot and delicious, and the overall experience is always good. Whether for a casual lunch or a quick dinner, Pepper Lunch consistently delivers.

I love Pepper Lunch but had only had it in Japan. Tried this location today and it was exactly the same as in Japan! I’m always skeptical trying an international chain outside of their home country but it was nearly identical and equally delicious. In fact, part of me likes it better than the original because you can customize your bowls more and they have an even larger menu.

This is my second time visiting Pepper Linch. The first time was a wow!!! The meat was flavorful and the bottom of the rice was crispy. Because our first awesome experience, my husband and I decided to eat there again. I am sorry to say, the second time was a bit disappointing. The meat wasn't as flavorful and the bottom of the rice wasn't crispy. I sent mine back to put it on the stove for a bit longer because it wasn't as sizzling as the first time I visited. The fat in the meat was still not cooked. The first time, the fat was good with the sizzling hot plate and added some flavor but not this time. Even after I sent it back, the food came out quite quickly. I don't think the plate was even hot. I am usually the picky one but my husband also noticed the flavorless meat. I was able to eat my meal without using any sauces at my first visit but the second time, I had to use a lot of the sauces. The front of the house services were great. When I send the plate back, the person was very friendly and helpful. I just wish the kitchen staff would actually cook it longer. I hope my next visit will be like my first visit.

Fun experience and tasty food with good portions. Customizable toppings. Ordered Beef Kimchi peppered lunch with seaweed salad on the side. Order in-person or via their self serve kiosk. Food is served hot on an iron plate, just mix mix mix, add pepper, salt, or garlic sauce to your taste, and enjoy! Certain dishes already have set toppings like protein cheese and veggies, but you can customize or substitute with other options. Pros: perfect portions as I was satisfied after wolfing down a plate. staff are friendly and drinks are self serve. relatively fast service. great dining atmosphere for group gatherings or a casual dinner date. Cons: fountain drinks were over-carbonated and lacked syrup. seaweed salad was a rip off as there was about a spoonful of seaweed compared to a cup of spring greens and two scoops of corn. the dishes are a bit on the salty side, but I found that adding garlic sauce and drinking water on the side doesn't harm the flavor, but enhances it.

Got the chicken and beef combo Chicken, beef, rice. Comes in a skillet piping hot Tasted like salt and pepper with chicken and beef and rice. It was good and healthy probably. I added the garlic sauce and sweet sauce thats on the table to add some extra flavor. You can taste the Quality. Nothing crazy but its good.

Pepper Lunch exceeded my expectations! The jumbo beef sizzling plate was fantastic--tender beef, well-seasoned rice, and the added bonus of complimentary sides for Yelp check-in made it even better. The affordability of the meal was a pleasant surprise. The availability of various sauces and seasonings at the counter allowed me to customize my dish. I'm definitely planning to return and explore more options. A solid 5/5 experience. This location has a lot more seating than the other ones. Service was great too!
